Diane Visits

Diane came in Friday for three days - too bad the weather turned cold so no sitting outside and drinking wine. We all, including Martha, sat INSIDE and drank wine. Saturday Diane and I worked on the computer for several hours. Sunday we went to Old Mesilla and wandered around for a bit. We decided we're all three going to the RVing Women get-together in Quartzsite in January. Fun, fun, fun.

Very Large Array

Martha and I drove to Socorro and had lunch at a great Mexican restaurant then drove to the Very Large Array. Went through an interesting little town called Magdelena. Theh array was interesting - you don't realize how big they really are until you stand next to one. We didn't get back to Las Cruces until after dark - long day but fun. Diane gets here Friday for a three day visit. I'm fixing Thanksgiving dinner for Martha and I - she's supplying dessert.

Mexico and a Renaissance Faire

Yesterday Martha and I drove thru Deming to Palomas Mexico. We shopped a little and had lunch at the Pink Store. I smuggled three avacados back into the US - beautiful avacados not the puny ones you buy in the stores here. We stopped on the way back at the Minbres Museum. Today we went to a Renaissance Faire - lots of leftover hippies playing dress-up. Some really elaborate costumes and lots of vendors. I bought three Indian flute CD's, like I need some more. Tomorrow is laundry day and laze around the RV.
