Roadrunner

Finally got a photo of the roadrunner that hangs around the RV - might be the birdseed I put out. Have lots of little birds and small doves, too. Its really hard to get a picture of a roadrunner, they don't stay still for long and they move really fast. The weather is cooling off and we had our first night in the 30's Monday night. Love it. So sad to see California burning. Unless you've lived with the threat of fires, its hard to understand the fear. Well, off to work.

Getting Cooler

Not much going on, just work a little and loaf around. Tonight is supposed to be our first night in the 30's - love the cool/cold nights. Martha and I went for Japanese food Friday and then on Saturday went to the farmer's market. Lots of crafts and locally grown food. Talked to Carole yesterday and she told me some raccoons have apparently gotten into my utility room and helped themselves to some cat food. Would like to see them squeezing their fat little bodies thru that little cat door. Had another potluck a few days ago, I'm going to get fat if we keep doing having them. Well, off to work.

Pow Wow

Went to a Pow Wow at New Mexico State University with Martha, a solo rver from Iowa. Weather was great and I managed NOT to buy anything except for frybread. We didn't stay too long but had fun.

Cooling off at night now

Not much going on to write about. Work is going well and I finally feel like I'm getting the computer system. Easy hours and usually 3 days off together. We've had a couple of pretty good lightening storms but not much rain. Its cool enough at night to just open the windows and we've had some beautiful sunsets. The pool is still open and is nice and warm. Met a couple of really nice ladies, Donna and Joyce, from Massachuettes. They bought a truck and little Scamp RV on Ebay and came out here to pick it up. Today the three of us went to the New Mexico State Fair. After seeing the Del Mar Fair in California anything else is a disappointment but at least I did get some frybread. There's a big pow wow next weekend at the college, if I can find it, I'll go.
